Ship Black Business & Shipping Services was named after Tiffany Townsend's Ship Black fullfillment center, believed to be the first black woman-owned product fulfillment center of its kind. Tiffany became engaged with TOC when she leveraged her two decades at the United States Postal Services to become the Logistics vocational training instructor. She quickly became a "mama bear" figure for youth enrolled in her class, so much so, that youth responded to her love and support by refusing to take their last GED test because they did not want to leave her class. She had created a safe environment for them to make mistakes, build trusting relationships and embrace the vulnerability that comes with talking about your dreams. Her first group of students, now alumni, still keep in touch with her and, as a few have become parents, Tiffany says embraced her role as "fairy grandmother".

PRV's business and shipping services social enterprise was named to celebrate the powerful role Ship Black plays as a minority-owned business and honor Tiffany's heart, support and commitment.
